Group Visits > Adult Visits
Its not just schools and pre-schools that enjoy visiting Manor Farm. There is plenty to interest other children’s groups such as Brownies, Cubs or Rainbows. Adventurous play in the woodlands is always a popular option or working towards a badge linked to the environment or animal care.
Special interest groups from Forest School Leaders to Members of the Women’s Institute have enjoyed finding out about the special work we do here, be it with rescued donkeys and owls or using and managing the natural environment. We can provide evening talks on owls for groups either at Hoots Hollows on the Farm or at your meeting place.
Manor Farm strives to be inclusive and to help everyone benefit from the contact with animals and nature it offers. Recently, further improvements have been made to make our facilities more accessible to those with mobility problems. Our welcoming and supporting staff are one of the reasons why Care Homes and Special Schools make repeat visits to the farm, particularly during term time, mid week, when it is not overly busy.
A new provision for the elderly and those in care is our once-monthly Tea-Time Specials For only £11.00 two people have: admission; a cream tea (or equivalent) and the opportunity to take part in an activity such as owl holding or meeting the donkeys. Each month we will offer something different to encourage people to enjoy both the social aspects of repeat visits and new experiences.
