Animal Activities

You’ll encounter over 20 different types of animals at Manor Farm Park & Woodlands. Originally founded in 1978 as an animal sanctuary, our farm has provided a loving home for many rescued and re-homed animals over the years.

Animal Chat Room

Our Animal Chat Room is where you'll find all our smaller animals. 

  • Enjoy animal petting sessions every day.
  • Meet our furry friends, the rabbits and guinea pigs.
  • Say hello to our reptiles, the lizards and snakes. 
  • Have a chat with our parrots.
  • Get up close with our insects, invertebrates and pygmy hedgehog. 
  • We also offer exclusive, pre-bookable private animal encounters where you can get up close with our lizards and snakes or rabbits and guinea pigs for a truly hands-on experience! Additional £40 for a group of up to six people. 
Private Experiences

Outdoor Paddocks

Enjoy a full day of family fun with plenty to see and do.

  • In our duck garden, meet our charming chickens, ducks and geese as they waddle, scratch and explore.
  • In the outdoor paddocks, get up close to a wonderful variety of animals including alpacas, deer, donkeys, goats, Highland cattle, llamas, pigs, ponies, reindeer, rhea, sheep and wallabies.
  • Keep an eye out for our free-roaming friends, Nala the friendly farm cat and our stunning peafowl wandering freely around the park.
  • On weekends and during school holidays, children can enjoy a hands-on donkey grooming experience, making for an extra-special visit!

Animal Food

Make your visit even more interactive by feeding our friendly farm animals!

  • Animal food is available to purchase for £1.95 per bag (approximately 100g).
  • You can use it to feed our cows, deer, goats, llamas, pigs and sheep in their outdoor paddocks, giving you a chance to connect with them up close.
  • It's a fun and memorable experience for all ages!

Falconry Centre

Our Falconry Centre, Hawks & Squawks, offers daily flying demonstrations (weather permitting*), twice-weekly falconry taster sessions and pre-bookable private experiences. 

  • Visitors to the farm are welcome to look around the aviaries seven days a week from 10am to 5pm.
  • Enjoy a falconry display at 1pm seven days a week, weather permitting*. 
  • An additional 11.30am show is offered during weekends and school holidays, weather permitting*.
  • Falconry taster sessions are usually available on Mondays and Thursdays. An additional cost of £1 per person applies. 
  • *In the event of poor weather, an alternative under cover 'meet the birds' opportunity will be offered.  
  • For an unforgettable experience with our magnificent birds of prey, p​​​​​​rivate falconry encounters can be pre-booked online for an additional £30 per person.

Hoots Hollows

You'll find over 25 owls from around the world in Hoots Hollows. 

  • Get up close to one of our incredible owls with our owl holding activity, perfect for children aged four and over.
  • Owl holding is usually available daily except Mondays and Thursdays, with an additional cost of £1 per person per owl. 
  • Visitors are welcome to view the owls in their aviaries seven days a week, from 10am to 5pm. 

Tortoise Room

Our Tortoise Room is open every day, inviting visitors to step inside and see these slow-moving creatures up close.

  • Watch as they explore their habitat, learn interesting facts about different tortoise species and discover what makes them so unique!
  • Pre-bookable interactive tortoise encounters are available for an additional £40 for a group of up to six people.
